How we work

How an enquiry in this area starts

The first three stages. The full six-stage process runs the same way whichever area you come in through.

  1. Inquiry

You tell us what you need. A named contact picks it up the same working day and confirms whether we are the right supplier for it.

    You give
Your requirement, drawing, sample or specification
    You get
Acknowledgement with a named contact, within one working day
  2. Consultation

We work through specification, quantity, tolerance and timing — and flag anything that will cost you more than it needs to.

    You give
Technical detail, target quantity and required date
    You get
Agreed specification and a feasible delivery window
  3. Quotation

An itemised quotation against the agreed specification. Prices, lead time and terms are stated in full, with nothing held back for later.

    You give
    Confirmed specification
    You get
Written itemised quotation with lead time and validity

Questions

Questions we get asked

What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the product and we would rather discuss it than publish a number that turns away a good customer. Trial quantities are welcome — we prefer a small first order to a large one placed on trust neither side has earned yet.
How quickly will I get a quotation?
Enquiries are acknowledged within one working day. Catalogue items are usually quoted within three working days; made-to-drawing items depend on the drawing, and we will tell you when to expect the price rather than leaving you waiting.
Do you hold certifications?
Not yet, and we will not claim otherwise. A quality management system is being implemented with ISO 9001 certification targeted once it has run a full audit cycle. Our current standards, and their honest status, are listed on the quality page.
Can you supply against our own specification?
Yes — that is most of what we do. Send a drawing, a sample or a written specification and we will confirm what we can meet before quoting, including anything we cannot.
